Borate with 3 hydrate is called ZB-2 23 (2ZnO .2B₂O₃.3H₂O). ZB-223 is an good flame retardant synergist and smoke suppressant in 
polymers to partially replace Antimony Oxide,and can be used in certain applications as afterglow suppressant and antiarcing agent.Due to 
its high Zinc content, ZB-223 is mainly recommended for PVC,and also have applications in polyolefins, polyurethanes, thermoplastic 
elastomers and rubbers.

Zinc borate should be pack, transported, stored as normal chemical goods.
