BASF to increase prices for STYROFAN®, STYRONAL® and BUTOFAN® products in the U.S. and Canada

 Effective Sept. 2, or as contracts allow, BASF will increase its prices for STYROFAN, STYRONAL, and BUTOFAN styrene-butadiene latex products by $US 0.07 per wet pound in the United States and Canada.

STYROFAN, STYRONAL, and BUTOFAN products are used as ingredients for various applications in the latex foam, construction, adhesives, fiberbonding, automotive, architectural coatings, sealants and related industries .

This action is necessary as a result of the continuation of rising energy costs and significant increases in costs for raw materials, including butadiene.
