PolyS(R) polyester polyols are low molecular weight polyols prepared by polyesterification with excess diol. This allows hydroxyl groups to terminate the polymer molecules. PolyS(R) polyester polyols are used in the formation of polyurethanes, particularly for high-strength polyurethane elastomers. They are also used for flexible polyurethane foams, semi-rigid foams, and polyurethane coatings.
