BASF has appointed Hermann Althoff as Senior Vice President, Global Leather and Textile Chemicals, BASF South East Asia Pte. Ltd., Singapore, effective April 1st. He succeeds François Desné, who has been appointed Senior Vice President, Global Water, Oilfield & Mining Solutions, BASF SE.
Hermann Althoff started his career with BASF in 1988 in Ludwigshafen, Germany. During his 25 years of service at BASF, he has had extensive experience in the Asia Pacific region, including eight years in Hong Kong and five years as Senior Vice President of Engineering Plastics, Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. Immediately prior to his new role, he was Senior Vice President, Polyamides & Precursors Europe, BASF SE, based in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
