esearchers at Duke University have urged householders to submit foam samples from items of furniture within their homes. The request comes as part of the University’s study into the effects of flame retardants on human health.
Duke University’s Superfund Research Center won funding support provided from the US National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences for the investigation which it is hoped will provide a fuller understanding of how flame retardants can affect human health.
