INVISTA’s technology advancement for its Terate® HT polyols is a finalist for the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry of the American Chemistry Council’s annual Polyurethane Innovation Award. The winner of the award will be presented at the 2013 Polyurethanes Technical Conference in Phoenix on September 25.
“Being honored as a finalist is a testament to the developments in technology and manufacturing process, as well as the dedication of our team who created and launched this new line,” said Bob Francois, president, INVISTA Specialty Materials. “We look forward to continuing to innovate and best serve our customers with value-added products.”
INVISTA’s Terate® HT polyols technology was selected as a finalist because it is a new line of aromatic polyester polyols based on an innovative chemistry platform for use in polyurethane applications. Designed at a molecular level, Terate® HT polyols offer performance advances while retaining many of the benefits of INVISTA's traditional Terate® polyols such as high foam compressive strengths, high weight and volume retention in fire and smoke testing
In May 2013 and August 2012, INVISTA made significant capital investments to increase global production volumes of its Terate® HT polyols and better serve its customers.
