TenCate is to introduce a flame retardant (FR) knitted fabric made from its Tecasafe Plus material. Available in jersey knits and piqué knits, the fabric is designed to improve the comfort of flame retardant garments, for a more casual look.
Serving as base-layer and outer-layer shirting fabric, TenCate Tecasafe Plus knits have been designed to provide maximum arc flash protection, as well as protection against flash fire hazards.
According to TenCate, the Tecasafe Plus FR knits can withstand repeated industrial laundering.
Last month, TenCate Protective Fabrics Americas increased production capacity of its Tecasafe Plus fabric for protective apparel, facilitating the production of seven million yards of additional materials.
