Klockner polyPUR Chemie GmbH said it is distributing a larger number of polyurethane catalysts from Umicore.
Klockner polyPUR Chemie said it has extended its range of catalysts with bismuth and zinc based Valikat products from Umicore. These can be used alternatives to toxic tin and mercury based catalysts, said the firm.
Applications include polyurethane coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers and flexible foam, said Klockner polyPUR Chemie.
Umicore produces the catalysts at its Brugges, Belgium facility. The agreement allows Klockner polyPUR Chemie to sell these products in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland and Germany.
