The Fourth China Grand Awards For Industry, a biennial top prize in China's industrial sector, was announced in Beijing on Saturday.
Approved by the State Council, it aims to commend the industrial enterprises and projects that represent the highest level of China's industrial development, and also to praise their outstanding contributions to enhancing comprehensive national strength and promoting the development of the national economy.
Organized by the China Federation of Industrial Economics (CFIE), 13 enterprises and nine projects were awarded the prizes, including Beijing New Building Material (Group) Co Ltd, Hengtong Group, Shandong Ruyi Group, lunar probe system project and aircraft carrier project.
All winners have achieved remarkable results in innovation, intelligent manufacture, green production and industrial transformation and upgrading, according to the press release by the CFIE.
Li Yizhong, chairman of the CFIE, stressed his hope during the award ceremony that China's industrial enterprises should implement the "Made in China 2025" strategy, strengthen innovation and brand building, enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises and realize innovation-driven development.
