Siam Polyethylene eyes maintenance at LLDPE plant

An industry source based in South East Asia informed a Polymerupdate team member on the maintenance schedule of a linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) plant operated by Siam Polyethylene.

The source said, “located at Map Ta Phut in Thailand, the LLDPE plant has a production capacity of 300,000 mt/year. Currently, the plant is operating at normal rates.”

When asked to comment on the maintenance plans at the plant, he said, "the company has scheduled a maintenance turnaround at the plant in the fourth quarter of 2011. The refinery will be taken off-stream in November and will remain shut for a period of around one month.”
